Professional liability coverage is provided while participating in residency activities in any DMC facility

Books
Residents tend to choose between Emergency Medicine: A Comprehensive Study Guide by Tintinalli and Emergency Medicine: Concepts & Clinical Practice by Rosen et. Al. at the onset of training. Additionally, we utilize FOAM frequently.
Dues
Dues for the following professional organizations will be paid for each year of residency.
- ACEP – American College of Emergency Physicians
- EMRA – Emergency Medicine Residents Association
- SAEM – Society of Academic Emergency Medicine
National Conferences
Support is provided to send each PGY II and each PGY III resident to a national EM conference. The entire PG II class attends either CORD or SAEM and the entire PGY III class attends ACEP. In addition, financial support will be provided by the Emergency Medicine Department for any resident who is the first author of scientific abstract selected for presentation at a regional or national meeting in the continental United States.
