Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, I attended a Loyola Marymount University for undergrad and studied sciences with the goal of becoming a paramedic/firefighter. After working in a South Bay Emergency Department for a few years as a technician, I was inspired by how much there was to know about medicine. With some friendly encouragement and strong support from friends and family, I ventured to post-graduate school in Chicago, IL and received two Master’s Degrees in health care related fields. I then traveled to a hidden paradise in the Caribbean to attend medical school at Saba University, spending equal amounts of time studying and spear fishing for lobsters. My clinical years of med school were spent in the Southern US where I met my girlfriend, Jen, in Atlanta, GA. She works as a new product innovator for a dessert manufacturer…let’s just say the cupboards are constantly stocked with amazing goodies. We’ve also been across the Northern Southern US/Canada border to visit Windsor…quite a treat…bucket list – check.
Now I am on my final journey to becoming the Emergency Department physician I hoped to be. The EM family at Sinai Grace has been incredibly welcoming and I am proud to be a part of our educational tradition of excellence.
